Martindale Hall and Gymnasium
800 university Dr, Maryville, MO

Tuesday, January 21, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Black Student Union (BSU) hosts a CPR training with health and physical education instructor Gina McNeese, in conjunction with Martin Luther King Week activities at Northwest, providing participants will an opportunity to receive their certification at the end of the training.

Cardiac arrest and other life-threatening events can happen to anyone at any time. While CPR training is not prominent in the African-American community, BSU promotes inclusion and unity by providing a space and opportunity for the training and certification to all people. It will help to increase awareness of why health awareness is important, especially within the black community, as heart diseases, high cholesterol, diabetes are dominant.
