Career Pathing: “Connect … How to Get Great Results in Relationships and Teamwork”

J.W. Jones Student Union, Ballroom

Wednesday, April 3, 2019

The power of connection is the principle that sustains relationships, elevates productivity and stabilizes trust. It’s your ability to positively affect the thoughts and actions of other people. Connecting with others flows through the filters of your head (cognition), heart (love) and guts (emotional intelligence), requiring you to take intellectual, social and emotional risks. Cathy Newton, author and speaker, offers commonsense strategies to understand filters and maximize influence. For more information, visit www.cathynewton.com.

This session, presented by Northwest Career Services, is offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Career Pathing presentations are free for Northwest students and employees and provide professional development opportunities to students interested in advancing to new levels of pay and responsibility. Community members are invited at a cost of $25 for Maryville Chamber of Commerce members or $40 for non-members.
