SAC Lecture: Laura Water Hinson, “Mama Rwanda”

Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building, Charles Johnson Theater

Thursday, March 8, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

“Mama Rwanda” is a story of working mothers told through the eyes of the unlikeliest women – those who lived through genocide. Laura Waters Hinson co-founded As We Forgive Rwanda, a Rwandan-led organization that harnesses the power of film to promote healing after genocide and has reached nearly 100,000 Rwandans. A 30-minute film explaining the recovery of the Rwanda genocide throughout women, will precede Water Hinson’s lecture about thriving women. For more information, visit

All SAC lectures are free and open to the public. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
