Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts, Mary Linn Auditorium
Tuesday, December 4, 2012 @ 7:15 pm
The Northwest Jazz Ensemble and Wind Symphony will perform their annual holiday concert at 8 p.m. at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
Dr. Kendall Prinz, who joined the Northwest faculty this fall as professor of low brass and instrumental music education, will be a featured performer on Rodney Newton’s “Capriccio for Tuba and Wind Ensemble.”
Additionally, the Northwest Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Prinz, will perform its own “Low Brass Christmas” as a prelude to the concert from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m.
All trombone, euphonium and tuba players are welcome to join the ensemble. A brief informal rehearsal will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Mary Linn Auditorium of the Ron Houston Center. Participants should bring a folding music stand, wear festive attire and may decorate their instruments. Prinz will provide music at the rehearsal and may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org by individuals requesting advance copies before the rehearsal.
The concert is free and open to the public.
