Fourth Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser
Friday, February 10, 2012 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Fourth Annual Empty Bowls event, sponsored by the Northwest Clay Club, is 5 to 8 p.m. in The Station.
Northwest ceramics students and local potters produced a large number of hand-made ceramic bowls for the event. Each guest has the opportunity to select a bowl for a soup supper. At the end of the meal, Clay Club volunteers wash the bowls for patrons to take home. All proceeds from the event are donated directly to the Ministry Center Food Pantry.
For $15, patrons may purchase a bowl, meal and one door prize ticket. For $25, patrons may purchase a bowl, cup, meal and one door prize ticket. Cash or checks, made payable to the Ministry Center, are accepted.
Local businesses have donated food, and this year’s menu includes soups, pastas, drinks and breads. Participating businesses consist of A&G Restaurant, Mandarin Chinese Restaurant, Pagliai’s Pizza, Northwest Campus Dining and Maryville HyVee.
