Career Pathing Program: “The Power of Entering into Unfairness”

J.W. Jones Student Union, Ballroom, 3rd Floor

Thursday, April 19, 2012

This Career Pathing session is presented by Greg Loveless with a focus on goal-setting. Our concept of “fairness” is so powerful it often pulls us away from our goals without us even being aware that we have changed directions. Fairness actually is often an excuse we use to lower our standard. And no matter how justified our actions might be in our minds, the moment we lower our standard is the moment we cease to follow our goal and our performance is diminished.

The presentation centers around one of Loveless's players, who faced tremendous adversity one season, and yet no matter what life threw at her she continued to meet the standard. As a result she became a leader not only on the team, but at school and in the community.

This session is only for current student employees and staff members. In order to attend, you must RSVP.

Sessions are 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. for Student Employees, or 9:30 a.m. for faculty and staff.

Students must RSVP to http://www.nwmissouri.edu/hr/student/careerpathform.htm and staff must RSVP to http://www.nwmissouri.edu/hr/trainform.htm.
