"Gross Motor Night"

The faculty of the Early Care and Education Lab Center (ECELC) and the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences invites parents and their children to “Gross Motor Night” from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the gymnasium of the Horace Mann Laboratory School.
The free event is open to the public and will include a presentation by Gina McNeese, Horace Mann physical education teacher, about gross motor milestones and motor development in children from infancy to age 8.
Parents also will have the chance to see firsthand the activities that promote gross motor development in their children. Students from Northwest’s Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance as well as student employees of the ECELC will facilitate activities for children in the Horace Mann and Martindale gymnasiums. Elizabeth Argo, of the Maryville Public Library, will lead gross motor activities for children ages 0 to 2.
