3-on-3 basketball tournament

Students in Northwest's Department of Family and Consumer Sciences are sponsoring “Hoops for Giving,” a three-on-three basketball tournament to raise money toward providing a Thanksgiving dinner for area families through the Maryville Ministry Center.

The tournament will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the Student Rec Center. Each team is guaranteed three games, with the third game deciding entrance to a single-elimination tournament.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1. The cost per team is $20, and teams may consist of no more than four players, who must be Northwest students.

The public is invited to attend the tournament and cheer on the teams.
