Student Dietetic Association Community 5K Fun Run/Walk

The Student Dietetic Association is sponsoring its first Community 5K Fun Run/Walk to support Backpack Buddies. The event begins at 10 a.m. at the fountain on the east side of the Administration Building, and the route extends throughout the Northwest campus. Water will be provided as well as activities for all ages.

Participants may register the morning of the event, beginning at 9:30 a.m., or in advance by visiting the family and consumer sciences office on the third floor of the Administration Building.

The registration fee is $15 for adults and $8 for children 10 years or younger. Participants will receive a free T-shirt if they register by Monday, Sept. 12.

Proceeds from the Community 5K Fun Run/Walk will benefit Backpack Buddies, which assists elementary students in Nodaway County who qualify for free or reduced lunches.
