DESCRIPTION:The faculty of the Early Care and Education Lab Center ECELC and the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences invites parents and their children to Gross Motor Night from 6 to 730 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Horace Mann Laboratory School. \n\nThe free event is open to the public and will include a presentation by Gina McNeese Horace Mann physical education teacher about gross motor milestones and motor development in children from infancy to age 8. \n\nParents also will have the chance to see firsthand the activities that promote gross motor development in their children. Students from Northwests Department of Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance as well as student employees of the ECELC will facilitate activities for children in the Horace Mann and Martindale gymnasiums. Elizabeth Argo of the Maryville Public Library will lead gross motor activities for children ages 0 to 2.  \n\nParents interested in attending should RSVP by contacting Courtney Holt ECELC director at choltnwmissouri.edu or call 660.562.1542 during the afternoons.
