DESCRIPTION:The Wind Symphony will feature the music of some of the best wind composers in our history during its fall concert at 3 p.m. in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public.\n\nThe Wind Symphony will perform the music of Shostakovich Bernstein Grainger and Vaughan-Williams before closing the concert with the first movement of Johann De Meijs Lord of the Rings Symphony. Dr. Kevin Maret also will make his Northwest debut as guest conductor on a composition by Hindemith.
