SUMMARY:Madraliers Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Madraliers Northwests select choral ensemble will present a concert at 8 p.m. in the Charles Johnson Theater.\n\nThe Madraliers chamber ensemble is a select choir of 38 undergraduate and graduate students who perform a variety of repertoire ranging from music of the Renaissance to contemporary composers. The Madraliers have been invited to perform for the Missouri Music Educators Association 74th Annual ConferenceWorkshop in January and for the American Choral Directors Association Southwest Division Convention in March. The concert will feature choral music which will be presented at these two conventions in the spring. The program will include\nAmor Vittorioso  Gastoldi My Spirit Sang All Day  Finzi Jauchzet dem Herrn  Pachelbel La nuit en mer and Soir dt  Badings Papageno and the Prince  Mechem Regina Coeli from Cavalleria Rusticana  Mascagni.\n \nThe concert will feature solo piano works of Chopin performed by Dr. Charles Badami instructor of piano and accompanying. The piano repertoire will include From Etudes Op. 25  No. 1 in Ab major No. 2 in F minor Scherzo in B minor Op. 20.\n \nThe Low Brass Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ernest Woodruff will also perform two brass works on the concert Royal Fanfare by Robert Langenfeld and Lyric Piece from Suite for Trombone Ensemble by Michael Hennagin.            \n \nThe concert is free and the public is warmly invited to attend.
